Re: Share Your Good Stuff

I'm just sending good thoughts to Rian and possibly KTR because of the terrible fires around L.A. I know Rian and her family moved back to NSF valley and although KTR moved to Michigan, he probably still maintains friendships in the area. Best wishes and hope to hear from you guys soon. Thanks Marc...

Re: Share Your Good Stuff

So I just saw a damned good little horror movie called JeruZalem that connects Old Testament mythology with the zombie horror genre, plus some "Cloverfield" (eyewitness POV) as well, and has quite a few really great moments. It's a little slow after the opening, but stick with it. You'll lick your a...

Re: Objective Evidence.

1. All "things" that have "material presence". 2. Matter has a magical special "force" to manifest as what appear to be non material entities, such as minds 3. You have no idea of what this force is or how matter can manifest as non-material entities, though you hope that one day science will show ...

Re: Question For Christians

We have a preacher amongst us. Best way to deal with such a troll is to just ignore it, and it will not get the attention it desires and will go away.

Not laying down a rule as I have no say in the matter, just pointing it out.

Re: for KTR - understanding me

Yes I read everything. Busy weekend.

I don't agree with your view of it, and it's not going to serve any purpose to hash it all out over and over. I don't mean that harshly either-- it's just meant to say I see it differently.

Aw, come on. That was a joke. And a pretty good one too.
Oh. You mean like the type of woman your Jesus hung around with and was forgiving of, hypocrite?

Re: Supremes rule on Colorado baker/gay wedding

Just to break this up a bit, did you hear about how a birthday cake was instrumental in costing an Australian politician an election that was a no brainer? See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WndWM71-jSQ and a wider explanation here; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_cake_interview Jeeeeeesus ...

Re: Supremes rule on Colorado baker/gay wedding

It's a bit confusing to me as well. I didn't see that they included ANY examples of these other cases so I don't know what they are. What I am concluding form all of this is that it simply doesn't address to issue except in this one case, which by the way could be re-litigated from scratch if anyone...

Re: Supremes rule on Colorado baker/gay wedding

Yes I did read the whole thing and while the brief is calling the other actions "hostility" I have to disagree. Another indication of hostility is the different treatment of Phillips’ case and the cases of other bakers with objections to anti-gay messages who prevailed before the Commission. The Com...

Re: Share Your Good Stuff

Short answer: Full time employees get a generous 4 weeks paid annual leave as well as 6 or so paid public hols, maternity leave, (also paternity leave in some jobs) about 6 paid days sick leave, paid family leave, special leave and unpaid just "leave". You know, tonight on the news I watched a bit ...
