I absolutely respect and admire Option A.
But I have really liked 'Because we're all wrong sometimes' from the moment I first saw it sneak up on the site banner. I find it deliciously funny and self-deprecating. It suggests that we don't have to take ourselves too seriously. For me, respect is implicit in the phrase.

Having said that, option A is a better, clearer mission statement whereas Option B is a slogan. So Option A for clarity, but I'm still voting B, just because it makes me smile more. Thanks for cooking it up, Emery, even if it only gets to enjoy a short (yet happy!) life.

I liked that one. I think one of the main values of forums like this is that we can speak our mind when the consequences of doing so in other venues causes us to just keep our mouth shut.

I was put in a position to defend the value of this earlier this month. When I picked my sister up at the airport, she ranted about how the internet encouraged everyone to think that their opinion was as good as any fact. I therefore had to dispute this for the assertion of fact is usually someones opinion that being shoved down the throats of other people. Of course I am not happy at all with how so many people think that the conclusions of science are of no value because "supposedly" they can all change in some future scientific revolution -- and thus my beef with Thomas Kuhn. I tread this subtle line, therefore, by highlighting the distinction between that for which there is objective evidence and that for which there is not. I may not support the claim that knowledge must be limited to the former but I very much affirm that the former has a weight that cannot be ignored in the government of free society.

My sister, by the way well represents the kind of rabid liberalism in which I was raised -- AND frankly the intolerance of anything that disagrees with its dogma.
