Moving to YouTube without losing audio only

Postby SteveInAdelaide » Thu Apr 26, 2012 1:20 am

Hi there

I'm new to this forum but have been listening to the podcasts for a while and really like them. The only time I get to listen to them is while driving. When the show goes to YouTube can audio only still be available so that I can keep my eyes on the road!

Thanks
Steve :-)

I believe that's the plan. Welcome to the forums!

Will the forum still exist independent of the YouTube broadcasts? I mean, I don't always listen to the podcasts, but I still enjoy reading what people say about them and the conversations that branch off topic from them. Will I be able to go to a website that's just the forum discussions of what was on YouTube?

Also - and this is VERY important for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users - PLEASE make sure the YouTube podcasts are NOT in Adobe Flash Player format! Apple doesn't support Flash on it's mobile devices!

Thanks!

YouTube, unlike some other video sites, does not post videos in Flash. Any YouTube video is viewable on any Apple device.

Not to worry folks, podcast and forum will stay intact. If anything were to crash and burn, it would be the YouTube cast, not the podcast or forum.

Hmmm... I've encountered many videos that wouldn't play on my iPad or iPhone, and I just assumed it was because they were in Flash format on YouTube. Apparently that was not the problem. Perhaps they were Flash format but not YouTube. Or maybe it's some other problem altogether. Anyhow, thanks, NHB....
