Reduntant? Bullmallarky!

I think you've joined the MitchMack Chapter of "Neologisms R Us." Nonetheless, you redunded yourself.

Why did I ever leave Ohio?

Hah! I played several gigs in Ohio back in the eighties. Cincinnatti, Akron, Cleveland, and some other place...boy that was depressing. We spent almost a week there and it was cold as a bastard.

Here are a few, some more facetious than others:

  • It's probably the most practised religion in your area, and it's probably also part of your ethnic heritage. So it's probably the easiest to consider.
  • The counter-part to the previous point is that it's not tied to a single nation or ethnic group and never has been.
  • It's the biggest religion in the world. This also implies that there's likely to be a sub-branch that's right for you.
  • It's been through a post-Enlightenment reconstruction, which some other religions haven't (or haven't fully).
  • Unlike some major world religions, you actually can convert to it and indeed are encouraged to do so. This is a more important point that you might think. Hinduism, for example, actually discourages you from converting, though this could be argued as a point in its favour.
