Unique Christmas traditions....

Postby Stacie Cook » Fri Dec 11, 2015 7:16 am

My local radio show was just talking about some traditions in other countries. I don't know the validity of these but here are a couple that I can remember....
Spain and Germany, there is something called the Christmas Pickle. A pickle is hidden in the tree and whoever finds it gets an extra gift. :cucumber:

In Venezuela, they roller skate to mass. :-D

Do you have any particular interesting traditions around Christmas time?

Do you really? Do you hide them in the tree? Are they real? I would think the scent would give away the location...

I noticed a christmas ornament recently at Kohl's that was a pickle. I almost got it for my husband cause he likes pickles but it didn't go with my theme for the tree this year which is peacock themed :)

Nah, we don't hide them; we just think they're fun!
