Yes, but it's best when it comes during the week--or at night--rather than weekends, especially holiday weekends! Unless there's a drought of course, then rain is welcome any time! :D
I love thunderstorms almost any time because they are normally short lived, not all day long.

We are in the midst of a 3-year drought here in Florida. I'll take rain any time of any day.

Of course, there's nothing better than a thunderstorm at night. :D

We were just in Orlando a couple of weeks ago, and the ponds at the resort where we were staying either were real low or dry, we felt sorry for the poor alligators! I heard they're getting lots of rain now, hopefully it'll come your way SS! Nothing worse than a drought, especially one that lasts 3 years!

Happy report:

- A good movie on (Hot Fuzz!)
- A cat running around the family room chasing a catnip mouse
- Coffee brewing and cookies baking

Doesn't get much better. :D

I finally got around to seeing the new Star Trek. I'm very happy that the franchise is in good hands.

There's a big thunderstorm rolling in as I type this. Yes, we're getting a bunch now. Too much in some areas. We were in Daytona Beach this weekend and there were significant flooding problems. Such is life.

Saw it last week. Nicely done. Zach Quinto is awesome as Spock.

I love our new Mac computer - I got so stinkin' fed up with viruses and spyware, and now Macs are completely compatible with PCs (that my husband and kids use at work and at school), so we got one a few weeks ago when our latest PC died from viruses/spyware, and I LOVE it!

It makes me happy that some people actually know this isn't a completely true statement. :)

Pumpkin pie also makes me happy!

I got my MacBook Pro in October 2006, and I LOVE it!! I can run Mac AND Windows on it simultaneously, and I installed Windows on it so I could use it when I wanted it. But within only a few months, I discovered I never, EVER needed to use the Windows "side" of it. I can do anything I need to do, and do it better and prettier, on my Mac! Now I only fire up the Windows side of it to do updates and stuff like that. Then I shut Windows down. I have Microsoft Office for Mac installed, too, but I don't really need it. I could as easily use Open Office (which is free and actually better than Microsoft Office). And Mac's iPhoto and iTunes and iMovie are FAR superior to Windows for photo, music, and video handling. And SO much faster and smoother. And oh yeah... it really IS nice not to have to worry about all those viruses and trojan horses and spyware and CRASHES... :D The only anti-virus/firewall program I have installed is Norton 360 - on the Windows side.

On the downside... it costs SO much more for a Mac than a PC. But you get what you pay for... :)

When the Windows PC in my "home office" dies, which probably won't be too long from now, I'll be getting a brand new iMac to replace it. I can't wait. I've even considered sabotaging the PC... heh heh heh.... :smt077

Just got back from the James Taylor/Carole King Troubadour Reunion Tour - awesome!!!! Taylor's voice is still amazing, and Carole King can still belt 'em out, and they just work so well together and really give to the audience. It was awesome! We screamed and clapped and got two encores, too :D :D

I am happy that I am running on my new jogging track through the big woods (1 lap = 1K). No more wet shoes and socks! Yes!!!! :D Also, just checked the garden and the radishes are popping up. I think Spring has replaced Fall as my favorite season.

Tonight my band is begining rehearsals for our big show at the Atlanta Jazz Festival. This band hasn't played together in over a year. I'm happy and excited!

Also, my wife has just been awarded the annual Outstanding Patient Advocate award at Emory Hospital. So I'm happy, excited, and very, very proud!
